We regularly get reviewed by our clients. Here, I would like to post testimonials from clients that are particularly meaningful for various reasons. That being said, here is the first: Atif and Pedro: The SMILES say it all! Atif H. Pedro has been my personal trainer for 18 months. I never excercised regularly before. Pedro helped me love working out! Now it is part of my life 3-4 days a week! Pedro is very professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient with me. When I couldn't do an excercise he would break it down into steps unt [ + ]

Monday Mania

  • Mondays, Murphy's Law

OK. I made the commitment so here we go. I have decided to dedicate a different topic to the different days of the week. I am calling this Monday Mania because I never quite seem to have control over Mondays. Am I alone out there? Thank goodness I am organized. Sunday night, I lay out all of my clothing for Monday. This may sound simple enough, but consider this: I have gym clients, pool clients, dance clients and tennis clients. Some days, I change my clothing 5-6 times per day and take up to 4 showers. That's a lot of organization, but it is [ + ]

Since I LOVE to write, that should be relatively easy for me. Stay tuned: Starting Monday, you will be seeing a LOT more of us! Happy and Healthy 2020 to all of you! Pedro and Shereen Rios

Walking Motivator

Bored with your walking routine? Do what I do...Customize your music! This may sound a bit O.C.D., and perhaps it is, but I spend HOURS customizing my walking music. It's actually the mental part of my walking workouts, and something I look forward to on a weekly basis. Every Sunday, I put key words in my music search and plug my headsets in to my phone and voila! I'm off into my own little world. A couple of hours later, I have my weekly playlist comprised of about 400 songs. Why so many songs? It's simple. I play my lists on shuffle and li [ + ]

Happy Easter and Passover

Happy Passover and Easter to you all. This year, we are truly blessed again to have the holidays coincide with each other again. I love it when this happens. Last night, we were at a Passover Seder. This morning, we were in church to celebrate Easter. Here's the thing....The two holidays and religions are very similar. The only difference to me really has to do with Jesus Christ and who you believe he was. Interesting thought. I sat through the church service thinking how wonderful the priest was. He was engaging and entertaining to the [ + ]

Friends are Precious

Friends are Precious   Recently, Pedro and I went to Arizona to visit our dear friends who moved a year and a half ago (without our permission, I might add). We had the privilege of staying in their new home with them which has a spectacular mountain back yard view. We did some traveling, we barbecued, we danced, we laughed, we climbed a mountain, so saw a spectacular cactus light show, but most importantly we were reunited with our dear friends. Do yourselves a favor....Once in a while, take a trip that is not to visit [ + ]

Protein Pudding, Protein Pancakes, Protein Anything!

Protein Pudding, Protein Pancakes, Protein Anything (Well, Almost)!   I have become increasingly annoyed with the whole "high protein" pre-packaged food industry. I'm just not sure who I am annoyed with: The companies who manufacture them, or the people who are buying them. Let me be more specific. Recently, I saw high protein pudding mix and high protein pancake mixes. The costs were, in my opinion, outrageous. For instance: One company sells 12 packages of protein pudding mix for $25.00 (plus shipping, which is minimally $5.99), for a gra [ + ]

Happy Labor Day

  • Happy labor day

Happy Labor Day Happy Labor Day to you all! Unfortunately for us, it is nothing but rain in the forecast today. That being said, our plan was to barbecue. To be honest with you, I was NOT looking forward to doing that for two very simple reasons: It's just too hot and I don't want to stink like smoke. There is just no way around either of those two factors in early September in Florida. O.K. There is an upside to this for us: December, January, etc. with temperatures above freezing. With that also comes the luxury of never having to wear a win [ + ]
