Saturday Motivation

Sometimes, a bit of tough love is needed. If you think I am talking directly to you, read on. If not, save this blog for a time when you have fallen out of your healthy routine and need to get back on track.

Let me guess: You stopped working out when you got sick and you are going to start again on Monday? You stopped working out because your car broke down and you couldn’t get to your gym? You stopped working out because your kid had a sports tournament out of town? You stopped working out because it was too cold to go out for your run? You stopped working out because you were in mourning because your lucky purple polka dot underwear somehow got lost, your favorite shirt ripped, and an aardvark ate your work report?

Here’s the deal. The lame excuses have to end. You need to forgive yourself for the lapse in program and start again. Not tomorrow or Monday, but right now. Set new achievable goals for yourself and WRITE THEM DOWN! Post them in your bathroom on your mirror so you cannot ignore them and start moving again! When you achieve the first goal, cross it off! You will actually see your success which will keep you motivated as well as focused.
