Mango with Chile and Lime

Mango With Chile and Lime

Chile lime mango

It is my favorite fruit season in sunny South Florida: Mango season! While I am blessed to be able to drive down the street and retrieve fallen mangoes from the grounds, the ones from your local grocers will work as well. This recipe is inspired by several trips to Mexico.

INGREDIENTS

1. Mango

2. Chile powder

3. Fresh Lime

INSTRUCTIONS

This one is really a no-brainer.

1. Cut the mangoes any way you want to (Here is a link to a mango-cutting video if this seems like a daunting task for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvLdPjpELyU )

2. Squeeze fresh lime over slices to taste

3. Dip ends in Chile powder, or sprinkle lightly over mangoes.

4. Serve on cutting board for fun, or any other way you want to. When I was in Mexico, they served this on skewers from street cart vendors. Inspired by this concept, I make my mango kebabs and froze them for a delicious refreshing frozen treat!

Enjoy!
