Personal Training at its Finest 305.766.6877
OK. So here we are. It’s Friday again. You set out to do 100 things, and had time to finish 20 (if you were lucky). Aren’t you lucky that it’s Friday?
It’s time to reflect and regroup. That list of workout goals that you set may have been ignored for a couple of days. Look. It happens. You have a schedule in mind and life just gets in the way. Maybe you had a cold, maybe you had to stay late for work, maybe the kids were sick, your refrigerator broke and your roof caved in. Whatever happened, today is the day to refocus on the goals you set for yourself in the beginning of the week.
With that in mind, I’m suggesting to you that you do not schedule a workout at least one day a week. If you normally meet your trainer on Fridays, obviously you will choose another day. The point is to give yourself an extra “catch up” day. For the purposes of this blog, it will be Friday. You may choose any day that works for you and your schedule.
Today, reflect back on the last week’s fitness goals. What did you accomplish? What didn’t you accomplish? TODAY is your day! Whatever you blew off, for whatever reason…..Do it TODAY!
Are you getting the point yet? We all have lives. Some of us work, some of us work and raise a family, some are retired, some are working 4 jobs and constantly trying to just keep us with life. I get it, and I certainly fall into at LEAST one of the above categories (I’m not telling which ones), but I will say this. Friday is catch up day for me.
I wanted to walk my stairs on Wednesday, but I simply didn’t have the energy to do it. So….I did it on Friday. Oh yes. My personal workout schedule on Fridays is blank for that very reason. I walked up all 21 flights of stairs for an entire hour and guess what? I felt like I accomplished what I set out to do in the beginning of my week.
Do yourself a favor…..Give yourself a “catch up” day and actually take advantage of it. You won’t be sorry!
