Beware of Bedazzled Bananas
Appearances are sometimes deceiving. This is a fact that most of us are well aware of. I am amazed, however, at the amount of clients who approach me with certain “diamond bananas” (aka diets) that they read about or heard about on television that are nothing more than a rotten banana with bedazzling.
Here are some of the latest that I have been approached with:
1. The yellow mustard diet
2. The Swiss cheese diet
3. The cookie diet
4. The pudding diet
5. The pork only diet
Need I go on? Let’s face it. If maintaining a healthy weight were as easy as eating some yellow mustard, everyone would have their perfect dream body and ideal health. Since that is not the case, I am encouraging you (whomever is reading this) to seriously question any “diet” that revolves around one seemingly “bizarre” food item.
I am not suggesting that every eating plan, diet plan and exercise plan is a bedazzled banana, but I am saying that you need to do some research before diving into something that is so extreme. In the long run, you will benefit from the hard work and patience that you put in that allows you to live a healthy, balanced life.
Remember this catch phrase before you “buy” into anything:
BEWARE OF BEDAZZLED BANANAS!
