Simple And Orange

Simple and Orange

Recently, I wanted to try something new to drink. I am careful of sugar intake, but the taste of a fresh orange was somehow in my brain.  I put the mixture in a large container and take it to go. If I am playing endurance sports, I add a pinch of salt to the mix. Here’s what I did:

INGREDIENTS:

1 Fresh naval orange, peeled, quartered, and frozen

2. Handful of ice

3. 6oz. Water

4. Truvia, or another sweetener to taste (or nothing at all if it’s sweet enough for you)

DIRECTIONS:

I use a Vitamix, so the blending is super easy. Add add all ingredients to the blender, and hit the button for frozen drinks. In about a minute, the drink is ready. If you don’t own a Vitamix or very powerful blender, I recommend leaving the frozen orange out for about 5 minutes before blending it. Otherwise, it will be hard for the blender to make it smooth.

The nutritional information is for a large naval orange only, as there are no other foods in the beverage:
